In order to be tested for COVID-19, a patient needs to fall into one of the following two categories:
History of fever (temp > 100 F) and flu-like symptoms such as: new cough, difficulty breathing, and malaise. Mild respiratory symptoms without fever should not be tested unless you are in an “at risk” category. Call the COVID-19 hotline in advance to set an appointment for testing at 801-587-7012 or 844-745-9325 if possible
Who Is at Risk? At risk is defined as:
been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19; traveled to an area with widespread community transmission within the last 14 days; are immunocompromised; are over age 65; or pregnancy.
