About Altrix Primary Care - Nashua, LLC
We believe that healthcare is not “one size fits all.” Rather, healthcare should be highly personalized, easily accessible, and of the highest quality. America’s Nurses NP care is distinctive because it is highly patient-centric. Our America’s Nurses NP model of care blends health promotion/wellness care and “sick” care. We treat you when you are feeling sick, and work to prevent complications of your illness. Our model emphasizes physical and mental health, and also focuses on prevention, screening, and health promotion. We take into account your cultural values, health beliefs, and personal health goals.
Physical Exams
Wellness evaluations and annual physicals give us an opportunity to review your overall health status and perform screening tests, update your immunizations, and talk with you about how best to improve your health and prevent problems.
Workman’s Compensation Evaluations
We provide a careful objective assessment of your medical condition, course of treatment, whether there is permanent impairment and to what degree, and the ability to work in the future. Please check with your employer prior to booking this type of appointment to make sure that it is approved by the company to be evaluated by our office.
Health Education
As a nurse practitioner practice, we value health education as a key component of care. We will answer your questions, explain your medical condition, make sure you understand your plan of care, and provide information about tests that are performed or medications that are prescribed.
Stress Management and Emotional/Mental Health
We all experience the ups and downs of everyday life. Sometimes the stresses of life take a toll on your emotional and mental health. Our nurse practitioners are able to assess your need for support and/or treatment. In some cases, we will initiate treatment ourselves. In other situations, we will ensure that you receive proper referrals for the support/treatment you need.
Telehealth Visits
Many medical/health issues either do not require a physical exam or require only a minimal exam and may be treated through video conferencing. Visits such as counseling for contraception or mental health, monitoring long-term health problems, discussion of laboratory and imaging results, teaching about a health condition, and many other health issues not requiring an extensive physical exam may be performed successfully via telehealth. Some aspects of a physical exam may be done on a telehealth visit, with careful coaching from our providers.
The benefits of a telehealth visit are:
• Convenience and safety, avoiding a trip to the office
• Reduced waiting time to be seen and less time away from home or workplace
• No need for childcare
To enable Telehealth visits, we have a secure, encrypted, HIPAA compliant service available through most devices with an internet connection and camera (computer, tablet, smartphone). We will email you complete instructions on how to easily connect. Please be aware that telehealth appointments are considered office visits, and insurance will be billed. Most insurances are covering these charges, but it is always good to check coverage with your individual plan.
Our Patient Portal allows us to get you your results quickly. As soon as we review the results, we place them on the Portal for you to see. If a follow-up consultation is needed, we will contact you. You are also welcome to contact us (603-821-4009) with any questions about your lab results.
Vaccinations
Vaccinations and immunizations are available in our practice. If you come in for an appointment and need a vaccine, we will administer it then.
