Addiction to substances is a chronic disease that begins with voluntarily taking drugs but the persons ability to choose gets more difficult over time. Substance abuse is indicated by a compulsive, uncontrollable, seeking behaviors despite harmful consequences from the substance use.
Addiction to Alcohol, Opiates, and other drugs can be challenging to stop and it requires a team effort. Together with each client we develop a personalized treatment plan working with all of the client’s providers to find the best strategy to helping the client overcome their dependence on substances.
