About Rachel Baker Counseling, PLLC
You're simultaneously pulled in 10 different directions. Your mind won't stop racing and you feel out of control.
At times, it's nearly impossible to concentrate at work and by the time you get home, you are so exhausted that it's difficult to even get dinner on the table or help the kids with homework. You've been pulling back at work, distancing from friends, and feel 'checked-out' around family.
The only thing that seems to bring you some peace, let alone sleep, is a glass (or three) of wine, hours of Netflix, or chocolate cake. Is your high drive to succeed getting in the way of your happy+healthy?
Therapy can feel uncomfortable and intimidating. Through an underlying stance of non-judgment, I join with you wherever you are on this journey. I won’t push an agenda on you.
That being said, I will be honest with you. I believe in using ‘real’ language and humor to help break down the tough stuff.
You’re here now because you know something needs to change.
Hello, my name is Rachel Baker. I am confident everyone is filled with the capacity for change and I will hold that hope for you, even if you've lost your own sense of optimism and ability.
While ‘talking it out’ or ‘venting’ can be helpful, I also want you to be able to measure your progress. We will explore specific skills you can implement in your life. You will learn to hear your inner voice and how to gain more control over your life by being strategic about where you use your energy.
