About Elisa J. Seibert, PhD, MDiv
I love helping people grow, learn, and gain tools for effectively journeying through life and for developing healthy relationships with themselves, others, and God. I earned my doctorate (Ph.D.) in Counseling Psychology from Gannon University in 2004, with prior degrees from Messiah College (B.A.) and Asbury Seminary (M.Div., M.A. in Counseling). I have provided counseling to adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups in a variety of settings since the mid-1990s, including private practice, university counseling centers, a nursing home, a state hospital, and a multi-staff church.
As I got advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, I discovered how powerful it is in helping couples (and the partners within the couple!) change, so I have since done the hard work to become an ICEEFT Certified EFT Therapist and Supervisor, and have a "couples only" practice. I work with couples from all walks of life and provide a safe, welcoming place where you can be you as you heal and transform your connection.
Education
