About Daniel M. Salzer, PhD
The second of four sons, Dr. Daniel M. Salzer grew up in Golden Valley, Minnesota. Dr. Salzer lived in New York City while completing his undergraduate and master’s degree studies at Columbia University. Dr. Salzer studied clinical psychology at the University of Southern California between September 2, 1986, and December 20, 1991, when he completed his Ph.D. Dr. Salzer earned his California psychologist license on August 1, 1993, and he practiced clinical psychology in West Los Angeles until March of 1997. Dr. Salzer earned his psychologist license in Washington State on January 17, 1997, and, after over four years of planning and preparation, Dr. Salzer and his wife, Rebecca, moved up to Western Washington in April of 1997. Dr. Salzer has been in private clinical practice in the Seattle area since June of 1997, first, in Bothell, and, since September 1, 2001, in Woodinville, at his current office location. Dr. Salzer met his wife, Rebecca, at Columbia University on July 5, 1986, and they have been married since July 1, 1990. They share an interest in, among other things, cats, books, history, movies, cards, and strategy games. They have three cats: Skyler, Ruby, and Theo. In his free time, Dr. SALZER enjoys listening to a wide range of music, collecting books, old maps, antique Baedeker travel guides, stamp albums, postcards, letters, and ephemera, following current events, studying psychology, political science, and history, reading, and over-sharing on Facebook.
