Dr. Briones completed her residency training in internal medicine at Long Island Collegue Hospital in New York. She became board certified in Internal Medicine in 1996. She recertified in 2006. She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Bariatric Medicine since 2010. She is currently a fellow in A4M.She has currently privileges at Northern Westchester Hospital. And she is a member of the medical staff at Burke Rehabilitation Hospitals for the last 15years. And she has academic appointment as clinical Assistant Professor in Medicine, Well Cornell Medical College.
Dr. Briones is a member of the American Collegue of physician, the American Medical Association, America Society of Bariatric Physician and the North American Association for the Study of Obesity and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. Her interest in treating obesity developed during her years of practicing internal medicine. She has specialized in the medical management of the co morbidities associated with obesity, such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and osteoarthritis.
