About Brittney C. K. Lesher, ND

I grew up on the small island of Oahu, Hawaii, and struggled with severe asthma, anxiety, and allergies all throughout my childhood. I spent a lot of time worrying about my health and depended on several medications at a very young age.

As I got older, I learned about all of the other ways that people took care of their health and I became fascinated with natural medicine, so much so that I decided to shadow a naturopathic doctor practicing in Honolulu in hopes of learning more about alternative forms of healthcare. I saw how much time and care went into each patient’s visit and how each treatment plan was customized to the patient’s unique needs: blending the best of both conventional and natural therapies. From that day on, I was hooked and decided to become a Naturopathic Doctor.

My main goal as a doctor is to empower and inform each patient so that they are equipped to make the best choices for their individual health journey. I strongly believe that what fosters true health are the day-to-day decisions that each of us has to make and I want to help you make the most well-informed decisions that work for YOU.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my favorite people, exploring more of Washington and my new neighborhood, and keeping busy with various hobbies.

I am very excited to work with you on your health at JNM and look forward to meeting you soon.

Education

I left Hawaii to follow my dreams and went on to receive my Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington, where I was trained in primary care medicine.

During my medical education to become a primary care provider, I received extra specialized training in rheumatology and autoimmune conditions, allergic and infectious diseases, as well as support for patients undergoing cancer treatment. I also worked as a licensed massage therapist throughout medical school, developing my ability to help with managing pain and stress naturally.

After medical school, I completed a year of residency through the Institute for Natural Medicine at a group practice in Redmond, WA. During my residency, I polished my skills as a primary care physician and helped many patients overcome their chronic health conditions by addressing the root cause: chronic inflammation, infections, allergies, nutritional deficiencies, hormonal imbalance, and/or detoxification.
