About Melishe Ivey, BSBM
Melishe (she/her) has birth in her blood. She comes from a powerful lineage of birth workers and midwifery, reaching back to her maternal grandmother and great-grandmothers, and her mother was an OBGYN. Melishe brings a passion for community, well-being, and support to assist families wherever they are on their reproductive journey. She believes that every birth is unique and sacred; whether your first or fourth baby, she will ensure that you feel cared for, seen, listened to, and empowered. Professionally, Melishe has over 20 years of combined experience in public health, human services, and the healthcare field. As a public and health care professional, she brings solid transferable skills, such as communication, warm interpersonal skills, and a deep desire to create social change to mitigate social injustices. While not attending births, Melishe enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, dancing, traveling, indulging in self-care, and binge-watching her favorite tv shows.
