About Joel D. Looney, LPC
In 2012, I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. I began practicing therapy full-time in 2013, working primarily with male clients in a correctional setting. In addition to my experience in mental health, I am on staff with a local non-denominational church where I have attended for over 20 years and now serve as a Teaching Pastor. My background of pastoral training includes a certificate in Biblical Studies from Youth With a Mission and a Church Planting Residency through Vineyard Institute.
My approach combines modern psychotherapy with a spiritual perspective. Specializing in the treatment of stress, relationship problems, and men’s issues, I assist clients toward health and wholeness in every aspect of their lives: psychological, physical, spiritual, and relational.
