About Ravi Sharma, MD
Dr Sharma is a Board certified cardiovascular surgeon and vein specialist, with over 23 years of surgical experience. In 2006 he began doing vein procedures to help those with venous insufficiency (varicose veins). In 2009 Dr Sharma took his practice to the Homosassa, and later to The Villages areas of Florida. Dr Sharma is fully dedicated to the treatment of varicose veins and/or venous insufficiency. He has an intimate knowledge of the vascular anatomy and physiology due to the many years of general and cardiovascular surgery experience he has had.

He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, College Park and attended the University of Maryland Graduate School, Baltimore before receiving his medical degree from Eastern Virginia School of Medicine, Norfolk. Dr. Sharma completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine Department of Surgery, Norfolk, and completed his residency in thoracic surgery at George Washington University, Washington, DC.
