About Andre C. Allsopp, LCSW
Andre is the Founder and CEO of Leap Therapeutic Services LLC, a minority and veteran-owned outpatient private practice with offices in Newport News & Richmond, VA. He has served as the lead psychotherapist since LEAP TS was established in 2018 and has a passion for seeing individuals and families empowered to achieve a healthy lifestyle through emotional healing and spiritual well-being. Andre started his journey in the mental health field whereas his disability ended with the US Army. After realizing and answering the call in his life, Andre reached his goal as a renowned Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). His 19 years of experience in the mental health field enabled him to serve in churches, prisons, and community settings. Andre earned his Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) in 2011 from VCU’s 1- year accelerated post-graduate program. He earned his Bachelor's of Social Work (BSW) from Norfolk State University in 2009 once he completed his Associate in Applied Science (AAS) with a minor in Public Administration & specialization in Human Services from Thomas Nelson Community College (TNCC). He is a mentoring coach, a Mental Health First Aid Instructor, and a Clinical Supervisor to therapists working towards their Licensure in Clinical Social Work. Andre has extensive experience in Clinical Social Work, working in Residential hospitals, private outpatient practices and most recently serving as the Director of Social Work & Clinical Services at a psychiatric hospital. He believes he is called to serve, empower, educate and lead by example as he is a peer mentor and Public Speaker, looking forward to changing communities and leaders one session at a time.
