Dr. Stephen Shamp received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He went on to receive his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) from the University of South Florida with Phi Kappa Phi Honors. He then earned a Master of Science in Physiology from the University of Cincinnati and was bestowed the Mark A Snowdon Award for outstanding academic achievements. He then obtained his Medical Doctorate (MD) from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine where he graduated with Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honors.

He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the Jewish Hospital of Cincinnati. Doctor Shamp then completed his residency training in Radiation Oncology at Case Western University Hospitals Cleveland, where he served as Chief Resident and received the RSNA Roentgen Resident Research Award.
