About Karl Tucker, DNP, PMHNP-BC
Karl Tucker graduated From the University of Utah with honors receiving a Doctorate in Nursing Practice, Specializing in Mental Health. He is educated in medication management and a wide variety of therapeutic techniques. He believes that good mental health requires a holistic approach incorporating all aspects of life, including exercise programs, mindfulness and meditation, social relationship improvement, nutrition, and sleep regimes.
As a Registered Nurse, Karl worked with the severely mentally ill at the Utah State Hospital for five years, where he developed a deep love and compassion for this population. Before becoming a nurse, Karl worked with at-risk adolescents for a decade in both the wilderness and residential settings. Karl loves working with the adolescent population and quickly builds patient connection and rapport.
Karl views his practice as a partnership. He hopes to work with you in developing goals for your mental health and then work together to accomplish them through techniques that are in line with your personal values.
