About Barbara L. Linko, MA, LPC
I worked for 20 years as a social worker before I got my master's degree. I was a medical social worker, and a Children, and Youth Services caseworker specializing in physical and sexual abuse cases. I was a chaplain for a hospice and ran a bereavement group for two years. I was a home-based therapist for 6 years and did an internship in marriage and family therapy at the Philadelphia Child Guidance clinic. I am a founder of the Women's Center of Beaver County, a shelter for battered women and children, and founded and trained volunteers for Contact Beaver Valley, a crisis hotline.
