About Maria Antoniou, LMFT

I am committed to compassionately supporting and guiding all of my clients on their courageous quest toward personal growth and well-being. My goal is to educate and empower you by providing practical and powerful tools through empathy, a non-judgmental atmosphere as well as meeting you where you are at. Approaches to therapy I use include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Therapy, Marital Counseling, Solution-Focused Therapy, Rational-Emotive Therapy, Behavioral Therapy.

My goal is to provide a safe space, support, and understanding as well as to help my clients identify their own strengths so that they feel empowered to work through presented challenges. We will work together as a team to identify goals and create a treatment plan in order to begin a journey of emotional healing and well-being.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in New Jersey. I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Saint John's University and my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hofstra University. For over 15 years, I have been working with children, adolescents, adults, and families with challenges such as anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, grief, relational concerns in hospitals, schools, private practice, and in-home and community-based settings.
