James has over twenty years of experience in the behavioral health field starting as a caseworker in a correctional youth facility. Since then he has gained experience in adolescent groups homes, long-term residential treatment facility, alternative education settings, and partial day programs. James' experience with adults includes inpatient, partial day, and outpatient psychiatric settings, and outpatient chemical dependency programs. James has extensive experience working with and within the Criminal Justice system conducting substance abuse and co-occurring evaluations, domestic violence assessments, pre-sentence investigations, and recommendations for treatment. He has taught college-level courses for other professionals seeking to obtain their LADC and operated his own private practice and consultation agency. James is experienced in working with adults struggling with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) and is Board of Mental Health trained in the State of Nebraska. In addition, he is a certified facilitator for Real Colors and is trained in the ASI/CASI assessments for the criminal justice system of Nebraska.
