About Krista Doubleday, MCouns
Hi! Therapy with me isn’t boring or sterile; I am passionate about this meaningful work. As a therapist, I am warm, relational, and weave in humor (as appropriate, of course). I am sensitive and perceptive to the unique nature of each person and will use a holistic approach to tailor counseling sessions to your specific needs. I incorporate elements of several theoretical orientations including but not limited to: attachment theory, internal family systems, neuroscience, cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness techniques, and trauma-informed approaches. I have specialized training in both Brainspotting Phase One and Phase Two and EMDR: two leading therapeutic interventions that promote healing from traumatic experiences and resulting cognitive, emotional, and somatic symptoms. I also have training in integrated mental health. Our mental health is interconnected with other systems in our body, so I find it impactful to have a mind-body integrated approach to healing.
