He then relocated to the United States and completed his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship program in cardiovascular disease at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. To further his skill set, Dr. Velusamy completed a nuclear cardiology fellowship at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut, and then an interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Connecticut in Mansfield, Connecticut.
Dedicated to learning and providing the best possible care, Dr. Velusamy also completed a mini vascular fellowship at the Prairie Heart Institute in Springfield, Illinois, and a clinical preceptorship at the Rane Center for Venous and Lymphatic Disease in Jackson, Mississippi.
Dr. Velusamy is a fellow of the American College of Cardiologists and a Vascular Diplomate of the American Board of Vascular Medicine. He is also a member of the Royal College of Physicians of England-MRCP (UK) and Ireland (MRCPI).
