About David R. Bush, APRN
Many years ago, my mom and sister were forced off of the road by an 18-wheeler. My sister was driving at the time and the car was squashed by the truck. The worst part was that my mother was trapped as the roof was crushed on top of her head. As a result, she constantly suffered from severe headaches and back pain. We tried everything to help her, but nothing worked. I thought my mom would never be the same person again because she couldn’t do anything without pain.
One Last Chance of Hope
Two years later, my dad suggested she try a friend who was a chiropractor as a “last resort.” The chiropractor did an exam, took some films and then adjusted her spine. The adjustment felt good and the results were swift and amazing!
After her first adjustment she told me she felt 60% better. She finally discovered relief and I got my mom back the way she was before the accident! No drugs, no surgery and no scary procedures at the hospital.
Becoming a Chiropractor and Nurse Practitioner
Chiropractic care worked so well for my mom that I went to chiropractic school myself and have been a chiropractor in the Humble area since 1991. I graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas in 1982 and Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena in 1987 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. I am fully certified in Active Release Technique®, a specialized soft tissue treatment and a member of the Elite Providers Network.
In 2009, I completed a BSN program from Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing. Then, in 2011 I finished my Master’s degree and a Family Nurse Practitioner program with national accreditation from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. I felt this added training would really enhance my ability to provide the best care available to our patients.
Providing Wellness Care to Humble
It’s strange how life is because now people come to see me with their injuries. Also patients come to me for help with their headaches, migraines, chronic pain, ear infections, neck pain, shoulder/arm pain, backaches, asthma, allergies and even athletic injuries.
As a chiropractor and nurse practitioner, I focus on family and wellness care and have studied alternative methods of healing difficult illnesses extensively. I have worked with many athletes, including professional, Olympic and weekend warriors. My current focus is helping patients achieve maximum health with natural methods of hormone replacement for both men and women.
I’m excited to be able to expand the types of care I bring to our patients and I’d like to help your family next. Learn more about our chiropractic and medical services, then contact us today to schedule an appointment.
