About Rahul N. Desai, MD
Rahul N. Desai MD, a fellowship trained musculoskeletal radiologist, began his Portland, Oregon-based pain and interventional clinic in 2008. Over the years the practice has grown, not only in size, but also in scope. It began as a more traditional musculoskeletal and pain interventional practice, but with the added benefit of having a board certified and fellowship trained interventional radiologist prescribing and interpreting the radiologic imaging for his own patients. This led to diagnosing and treating in a much more efficient manner. Dr. Desai has blurred the boundaries between conventional radiology, interventional pain management, and interventional sports medicine.
Dr. Desai also began to expand the musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSK US) practice and with it the use of cutting edge orthobiologic therapies such as Platelet-Rich-Plasma (PRP), Stem Cells, and Amniotic Membrane-Derived Growth Factors to treat tendon, ligament, joint and spine pathology.
Dr. Desai has gained both local and national acclaim in the fields of MSK radiology and orthobiologic treatments. He is a recognized international expert in the field of Platelet-Rich-Plasma (PRP) and Regenerative medicine performing hundreds of successful therapies each year. His endeavors include numerous lectures, presentations, publications, and research.
It is that same spirit that has brought Dr. Desai to create RestorePDX in 2013.
