About Joseph Hugunin, DC
After graduating from Shawnee Mission West Dr. Hugunin attended Rockhurst University with a focus on Business Administration concentrated on Finance. Following that, he returned to school for an undergraduate degree in Human Biology before completing his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland University. Being one who believes you should never stop learning, he furthered his knowledge with training in Active Release Techniques, Functional Movement, Whiplash and Traumatology, furthermore even Bioidentical Hormone Replacement.
Dr. Hugunin has plenty of credentials that set him apart. He has worked with hundreds of professional athletes and performers over the years. After graduation, he practiced in Las Vegas with Nevada's first Active Release Techniques provider, Dr. Jon Petrick of the Las Vegas Pain Relief Center. Together they worked with the UFC organization, countless professional bodybuilders in the IFBB Pro circuit, union performers in organizations such as the Tropicana and Cirque du Soleil. On his return to Kansas, that success carried on to work as a team Chiropractor for SportingKC, University of Kansas Athletics, and his favorite working with musicians performing in Kansas City at venues such as the Sprint Center, Arrowhead, and Starlight.
When he's not working he fosters an entrepreneurial spirit, takes to the outdoors, drinks plenty of Starbucks, and most importantly enjoys time with his amazing daughters.
