Dr. Sherry Ellis has been practicing gastroenterology for more than 25 years. She graduated college as a member of The Phi Beta Kappa honors society and graduated at the top of her class at NY Medical College as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the honor society in the field of medicine. She is a recipient of The Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation for academic excellence and The Charlotte D. Yudell Memorial Award for her high standards in patient care, pioneering spirit, and social awareness.

She did her internship and residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Jacobi Hospital and went on to do her fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan.
