About Darren R. Hurst, MD

Dr. Hurst received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio. He then went on to complete both his residency and fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Dr. Hurst has performed over 2,000 endovascular procedures and was one of the first physicians in the area to perform minimally invasive procedures to treat venous disease.

He is affiliated with St. Elizabeth Healthcare and is currently the group’s lead investigator for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) sponsored ATTRACT trial that is investigating deep vein thrombosis. Dr. Hurst has also published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals on the treatment and diagnosis of venous obstruction, deep vein thrombosis, and pulmonary embolism.

Over the years, Dr. Hurst has been awarded numerous “Top Doctor” awards from Cincinnati Magazine.

Our practice treats a broad spectrum of venous, vascular and spine related disorders, including varicose veins, spider veins, venous obstruction, restless leg syndrome, peripheral artery disease, fibroids, tumors, compression fractures, and more. We perform the following procedures, arterial stenting, venous stenting, thrombolysis, prostate artery embolization, uterine fibroid embolization, balloon angioplasty, vertebroplasty, and more.
