About Walid A. Faraj, DO
Dr. Walid A. Faraj graduated from University of California, San Diego in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in Health Care & Social Issues, and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Physiology & Neuroscience. In 2001, Dr. Faraj received his Doctor of Osteopathy from Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Faraj completed his three-year family medicine residency at the San Bernardino County Hospital, Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. In 2004, he received the Earl A. Gabriel, D.O. Memorial Award for Outstanding Osteopathic Family Medicine Physician.
To complete his National Health Service Corps duties, Dr. Faraj moved to northern California where he worked for a Native American clinic. During this time Dr. Faraj learned about Native American traditions and values. The knowledge he gained from the Native American community, combined with his own personal life experiences, inspired Dr. Faraj to pursue additional training in functional, integrative medicine. In 2012, Dr. Faraj earned his certification from the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine.
Throughout his training and career, Dr. Faraj has found the patient-doctor relationship to be the most important factor in health care. His philosophy is to partner with his patients to realize their health goals and help them become the best possible version of themselves. Dr. Faraj’s personalized approach to medicine provides his patients with life-changing outcomes.
In his downtime, Dr. Faraj stays updated on the latest methods and approaches by attending medical conferences. Dr. Faraj speaks three languages (English, Arabic, and Spanish) and enjoys biking, yoga, soccer, and hiking.
