My beliefs are that people hold the keys to their own healing and addressing of the trauma in their lives. You have to be the driving force and navigator behind the pursuit of a healthy mind, body, and spirit. The act of being not only heard but understood is healing in and of itself, however, I do understand the idea and process of gaining self-awareness via counseling can seem overwhelming and frightening. An outside view and perspective can assist with guiding and directing one down this path of self-enlightenment and self-healing. I take pride in providing a safe and harmonious environment that has the potential for faster growth and self-awareness. Sometimes this environment requires one to come face to face or at terms with their fears, flaws, struggles, or role in the trauma and situation they are experiencing, but I believe this affords one the opportunity for personal growth, development, and ultimately healing.
