About Courtney Weems, MD
Dr. Courtney Weems is a pediatric board-certified, fourth-generation doctor so to say that medicine is in her blood is an understatement. Her grandfather, Bliss Weems, was the town doctor in a very small town in Virginia. In his time, doctors were more than just doctors, they were the pillars of their communities. This intimate, relationship-based medicine has been instilled in Dr. Weems from a young age. She believes that by spending the time necessary to truly understand her patients and their families and having the opportunity to develop a personal relationship, she is able to provide them with the most personalized and superior medical care from the beginning. This is exactly what has been lost in today's pediatric practices, where quantity comes before quality.
Dr. Weems, the parent of two young boys and two college girls, understands the challenges and stressors of parenting. She spends the time necessary to listen to you and your children’s concerns, then marry her medical training, knowledge base, and her own parenting experience to provide you with practical solutions, resources, approaches, and preventative measures to keep your family happy and healthy!
