About Jason Darden, MSN, PMHNP-BC
Jason started his career over 20 years ago in behavior health care as a registered nurse. Jason’s focus has been caring for patients and their families of all ages with various mental and psychiatric disorders. Prior to starting his own practice, he worked in long-term care psychiatric facilities treating patients with chronic psychiatric disorders. He also worked in an acute crisis stabilization inpatient unit working with children, adolescents, and adults with a vast array of psychiatric conditions.
Jason is licensed and board-certified to treat patients with numerous psychiatric illnesses in the state of North Carolina. He holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration and graduated with honors from Southern Adventist University in Tennessee with his post master’s certificate from their Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Program.
Jason understands the shortage of mental health services for so many in our state which is the driving force behind opening his own telepsychiatry practice. He is committed to ensuring each patient progresses to their ideal level of mental wellness. He believes working with patients in their own homes relieves immediate stress and is a positive environment to establish immediate rapport. Jason grew interested in telepsychiatry several years ago and began researching the value it would bring to his patients. Shortly after he began working in telepsychiatry he has experienced firsthand the benefits telehealth provides.

Mr. Darden graduated with a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified from Southern Adventist University, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Gardner Webb University, from Sampson Community College, and with a Master of Science in Nursing from University of Phoenix.
