Adult Companion

An individual who provides supervision, socialization, and non-medical care to a functionally impaired adult. Companions may assist or supervise the individual with such tasks as meal preparation, laundry and shopping, but do not perform these activities as discrete services. These services are provided in accordance with a therapeutic goal in the plan of care.

Day Training/Habilitation Specialist

Mr. Andrew Goodman is a Day Training/Habilitation Specialist in Capac, MI with special training and skill in creating and implementing customized programs to help patients participate in communities. As a Day Training/Habilitation Specialist, Andrew Goodman performs direct support for patients. Day Training/Habilitation is support to help develop and maintain the life skills of patients with developmental disabilities. Significant diseases and conditions treated by Day Training/Habilitation Specialists include autism, Down's syndrome, and cerebral palsy. Medical tests, procedures and therapies provided by Day Training/Habilitation Specialists include self-care, communication and behavior management, socialization training, job coaching, improving adaptive living skills, enabling recreational activities, and providing transportation to all activities.
