About Renee I. Anderson, PhD, LPC, LPCC, NCC, TMH-BC
I have 15 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Pennsylvania and Ohio. I completed my Ph.D. at Duquesne University and my master’s degree at Youngstown State University. My passion is helping others to become empowered to live their best lives. I have helped people with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship and family issues, career challenges, decision-making and problem-solving, attachment issues, and sexual orientation. I have also helped people improve their self-esteem and self-confidence. Other related experience includes teaching clinical mental health counseling to graduate students.
My counseling style is warm and interactive and is grounded in a wellness and strength-based approach. I view clients through a developmental lens. I use an eclectic style and techniques to meet people where they are and to best match their unique needs and perspectives. While helping people develop tools and skills to empower them and help them achieve their goals, I support people through their process and share their journey. Empathy, compassion, trust, and respect are cornerstones of my approach.
All people experience difficulties and challenges at some point in their lives. Working through the challenges of creating a more fulfilling and happier life can be both difficult and rewarding.
