Realizing that childhood wounds were often the result of traumatic experiences (even when inadvertently done by our caregivers and/or unrecognizable by us as we grew)...

Recognizing what it was that first caused us to feel shame...

Remembering the sense of powerlessness too many of us have felt...

These begin with the questions that I help guide my clients to their solutions. I share my knowledge with the client as a way to empower them with having the knowledge, too. I believe that when the client understands why they feel or think or act in the way they do, they can begin to heal in a way deeper than just dealing with a symptom. I push the client, when they are ready, not when I am ready to explore how childhood wounds or trauma created the foundation for the effects of trauma we sometimes have a lifetime with. I am passionate about helping others gain the same knowledge that continues to help me heal from my own childhood wounds/traumas.

When we can learn ways to connect with our authentic selves, who we were before the wounds/shame/trauma, we begin to let go of the past and live for the present.
