About Robin Marie Sessa, LicAc
Robin Sessa is a licensed acupuncturist located in Arlington, Massachusetts holding a Masters of Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture where she focused on Traditional Chinese Medicine along with a concentration in Japanese style acupuncture. She is recognized as a Doctor of Acupuncture in the State of Rhode Island and Master of Oriental Medicine in the state of Massachusetts. As a board certified acupuncturist from the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine since 2001 she is recognized for completing an intensive 4 year graduate education.
She has furthered her education with Post Masters Certificate with the renowned Kiiko Matsumoto. She incorporates Kiiko style into her practice. Dr. Sessa (RI) also utilizes her Bachelors of Science in Speech Pathology from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania and 25 plus years as a fitness trainer to listen to the patient, their symptoms and condition. In addition, she has sought to assist others in the study of acupuncture in her position as student clinical supervisor and instructor at the New England School of Acupuncture.
In receiving treatments patients should expect nutritional and lifestyle recommendations along with Japanese acupuncture, chinese herbal medicine and nutritional supplements. Treatments, which are gentle, may also include Japanese cupping, gentle realignment/traction, tiger warmer, magnets, plasters and bamboo moxa therapy. Currently, Dr. Sessa (RI) is one of the few acupuncturists to use today's technology such as smokeless infrared moxibustion, laser acupuncture, ion pumping chords, patchi patichi, diodes and diodes chains and infrared therapy. All treatments are respectful, client-centered and solution-focused.
