About Joseph A. Berkowski, MD
Dr. J. Andrew Berkowski is a sleep neurologist at ReLACS Health, who provides direct specialty care in Michigan, Ohio, and Florida for patients with restless legs syndrome, insomnia, and other sleep disorders through telemedicine. He completed fellowship training in sleep medicine at Stanford and was a clinician-educator at the University of Michigan and Cleveland Clinic for more than six years.

As part of the direct care model, patients can enjoy more accessible and flexible scheduling along with added convenience of visits done exclusively through a telehealth/video platform. Ongoing members can choose their preferred method (phone, text, email) to communicate directly with Dr. Berkowski usually with the same or next-day response time, and can address more urgent questions and needs during off-hours.
Patients may currently be seen for consultation if present in the states of Michigan, Ohio, or Florida at the time of the virtual visit, though additional states may be added in the future. Individuals new to ReLACS Health may schedule online for an initial 60-90-minute comprehensive consultation or a 15-minute informational Meet & Greet with Dr. Berkowski to see if the clinic is right for them. Based on the consultation, many elect a long-term monthly membership with the clinic for Dr. Berkowski to manage lab tests, medications, and overall treatment on a continual basis. He can coordinate infusions, restricted medications, or in-lab sleep studies if needed with a local health center or provider. ReLACS Health also offers standalone home sleep apnea testing at a reasonable fee with a provider’s order. Specialized treatment programs include a Severe Restless Legs Syndrome/Augmentation Management program for 5 months and Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) program for 3 months, after which patients can continue as regular members.
