About Karen H. Ho, DDS
Dr. Karen Ho received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Dentistry. After dental school, Dr. Ho chose to hone her clinical skills with advanced training by completing a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Affairs Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center. Upon completion of training, Dr. Ho began her private practice in 2006 in the San Gabriel Valley while also teaching as a part-time clinical faculty at her alma mater, UCLA School of Dentistry.
Dentistry is an ever-evolving specialty and Dr. Ho understands the importance of continuing education to keep her practice state-of-the-art. She spends countless hours taking advanced esthetics, occlusion, Invisalign, dental implant, and sleep apnea courses to stay at the forefront of dentistry. This is to ensure that she provides her patients with the best care possible. Dr. Ho has achieved Invisalign Platinum Provider Status 2 years in a row in 2018 and 2019. This award is only granted to very few selected dentists who show experience, skill and mastery in completing advanced Invisalign cases. She is also an active participant in a local multi-disciplinary study group focused on comprehensive treatment planning.
Dr. Ho is passionate about dentistry because she can combine science with art to create beautiful, and more importantly, healthy smiles. Dr. Ho upholds the highest level of ethics and integrity. She understands the unique needs of each individual patient. As a patient, you can be certain she will listen to your concerns and develop a relationship with you to form the right treatment plan. Dr. Ho considers her patients an extension of her own family.
As a dental professional and educator, Dr. Ho truly believes in disease prevention through patient education and preventive treatment in order for her patients to maintain a beautiful and healthy smile. Her approach to dentistry is through empathy, mutual respect and most importantly a light gentle touch. When Dr. Ho is not shopping around for dental technology, she spends time with her two young daughters, Maddie and Katherine, as they bike around the local park, test out new recipes and plan their next vacation.
