About North Pines Counseling at SkyMeadow
I'll treat you with the respect you deserve as a fellow human being.
I'm semi-retired. If you're a previous patient in trouble, then call me and I'll help again. If you're new to me, we'll talk a bit over the phone for you to be able to judge whether I'm the right "fit" for you.
You decide what to pay and I'll probably see you for that rate.
I use a lot of humans to help you see things deeper, better, more colorful, or whatever's needed for the facts to speak for themselves and for you to learn to accept them...not necessarily to like or approve of the facts; but to see them more clearly and figure out how to respond to them in a way you feel good and, hopefully, the other parties gain from your involvement. Forgiveness doesn't mean "forget" or "pretend it never happened or isn't happening now." It means "for-giveness;" you see it (the givenness of the situation) as it is...more clearly than before.
I don't watch for heads nodding in agreement - I'm not a supervisor. I'm a consultant and a good one. I help you find your solution...not necessarily a book solution, but one which arises within our concerted dialogue...tailor-made from the experiences, learning, and wisdom we both bring to the session.
In 4 decades of being a psychologist, I've learned a lot that can be helpful to you. I give you lots of handouts so you can remember the concepts we explored in our session. You won't leave without a smile, laugh or two, and, most always, a large sigh of relief 'cause you got something worthwhile out of our connection.
If you're wondering if you should come in, you probably should have already! I rarely need more than one to six sessions to help you meet your needs.
