About A Better Alternative Medical Center
This is a functional medical office, a solo practice where each patient is seen by the physician alone. It is an ideal place for a patient who wishes to create a relationship with his or her physician, and wishes to understand and explore their health fully. Visits typically last one hour, and the goal is full understanding of each patient's health, including physical, and where relevant, emotional and spiritual health, Testing is done as indicated, both traditional and functional testing, and a program is then created with the intention of correcting any underlying issues or "root causes" of concerns, using as little medication as possible in favor of diet, the use of supplements and behavioral change to create optimal health. An effort is made to reduce the current use of medication where possible. The work is proactive to create not only better current health, but improve longevity and long-term wellness at all levels/anti-aging medicine.
Approaches such as IV vitamin therapy, chelation therapy for heavy metals and atherosclerosis, bioidentical hormone replacement, biomedical treatment of those on the Spectrum (ASD/ADD), elimination diets, orthomolecular psychiatry, psychological counseling and treatments, and HCG diet are used, in conjunction with any necessary use of traditional approaches/treaments.
Some patients retain their primary care doctor outside of our office, and for some, Dr. Leder is their primaty care physician. As with any primary care physician, consultations with specialists can be ordered and care is coordinated with these specialty practiioners.
The doctor works to educate patients to care for themselves , and works with patients as a team, rather than simply providing orders.
Patients pay for their services on the date of service; as with any other licensed MD, any patient with out-of- network benefits will be reimbursed for their visits per the specifics of their insurance plan. Our office will submit claims for traidtional government Medicare patients electronically. All others must submit claims to insurance, attaching "superbills" provided by our office.
