MSHO Hematologists & Oncologists

Michigan Society of Hematology and Oncology is a medical organization dedicated to Hematology & Oncology. Doctors and practitioners associated with MSHO have special training and skill in the diagnosis, treatment and/or prevention of blood diseases and cancers. Michigan Society of Hematology and Oncology members perform diagnosis and treatment of blood cancers, such as Hodgkins and non-Hodgkins lymphomas, leukemias and multiple myelomas, and also manages treatment of solid tumors. Hematology & Oncology is the diagnosis, treatment and prevention, as well as research into blood diseases and cancer. Significant diseases and conditions treated by many MSHO members include iron-deficiency anemia, hemophilia, sickle-cell disease, leukemia and lymphoma. Medical tests, procedures and therapies provided by MSHO healthcare providers include hemoglobin electrophoresis blood testing, human leukocyte antigen (HLA) testing, positron emission tomography (PET), bone marrow aspiration, lumbar puncture (spinal tap), or stem cell and bone marrow transplants.
