ASH Hematologists

American Society of Hematology is a medical organization dedicated to Hematology. Doctors and practitioners associated with ASH have special training and skill in diagnosing and treating disorders of the lymphatic systems, bone marrow, and blood. American Society of Hematology members perform care of patients with blood-related diseases. Hematology is an internal medicine branch that focuses on studying, diagnosing, treating, and preventing blood-related illnesses. Significant diseases and conditions treated by many ASH members include anemia, sickle cell disease, neutropenia, hemophilia, deep-vein thrombosis, arterial thromboembolism, lymphoma, and leukemia. Medical tests, procedures and therapies provided by ASH healthcare providers include complete blood count (CBC), blood enzyme test, platelet test, international normalized ratio (INR), partial thromboplastin time (PTT), prothrombin time (PT), and bone marrow biopsy.
