Bertha F. Barrett, LMCH, CCTP is a trained and experienced mental health professional who is passionate about assisting and educating individuals about the importance of mental wellness. She worked in community health at the Youth Crisis Center (YCC) for 4 years, assisting adults and adolescents along with their families to promote optimum mental and emotional health.
As a trauma professional she believes, it is not important for clients to discuss details about their traumatic events to heal. However, it is more important to assist clients with identifying triggers and adapting coping skills so they can live in the now and decrease the somatic and sensory effects trauma has on the mind and body.
She is the owner/CEO of Intake Psychotherapy & Wellness, LLC, a full teletherapy practice assisting residents in the state of Florida. Bertha focuses on the whole person by helping her client connect the dots to intricate parts of themselves, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Bertha creates a nonjudgmental, unconditional, and compassionate environment for her clients to grow and heal. For Bertha, counseling is more than a profession but a calling. Her therapeutic approach is eclectic as she believes there is no one clinical approach that suits all.
As a Coach, she is passionate about propelling individuals into their purpose and assisting them with understanding their spiritual nature and authentic selves. Bertha teaches clients to understand that as humans, we are 99 percent internal and only 1 percent external. So, learning to channel in on the 99 percent and harness their energy is essential to living their best life. She helps her clients improve their belief systems and see their true potential so they can live happier and more abundant lives. She firmly believes that one's life and reality are created in the mind. She states, "When individuals have a faulty belief system, they are unable to live to their fullest potential and manifest a life of abundance mentally, spiritually, physically, and financially."

Bertha F. Barrett has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Phoenix with honors as a Sigma Alpha Pi and was inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success. She has a Master of Art in Clinical Mental Health from Webster University.
