I am a licensed mental health counselor in Florida, who is of Jamaican descent, and I continue to destigmatize seeking mental health care in our communities. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults, from clients with ADHD to PTSD to those with dual diagnoses via psychosocial rehabilitation groups, and I utilize trauma-informed care and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy to explore thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors to assist in the reduction of dysfunctionalities. Clients can expect to encounter a safe non-judgmental space where they are accepted and empowered to heal.
