About Mina Zarei, MD
Dr. Mina Zarei is an American Board of Dermatology certified dermatologist with over 5 years of experience in the field. Dr. Zarei is a skilled Mohs and reconstructive surgeon specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers (flaps and grafts), with experience in cosmetic surgery, laser surgery, PRP for rejuvenation and hair loss treatment, treatment of leg veins (sclerotherapy), Botox, fillers, chemical peels, microneedling, and Kybella.
Dr. Zarei completed her Mohs surgery and Cutaneous Oncology training at one of the most renowned programs in the US, Emory School of Medicine. She is a graduate of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where she completed her dermatology and cutaneous surgery residency. Dr. Zarei was awarded the “Excellence in Surgery” award at the time of her graduation. She is the winner of the 2019 “Golden Scalpel Knowledge Bowl” competition, held at one of the most prestigious dermatology conferences by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS).
Her passion for surgery led her to complete a year of internship in general surgery at the University of Miami, prior to her three-year dermatology residency. During this time, she received extensive training and honed her skills in dermatologic and plastic surgery.
Dr. Zarei received her medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, the highest-ranked medical school in Iran. She has contributed to 42 published works in scientific literature and has presented at local and national conferences. Dr. Zarei holds memberships in a number of professional societies, including the American College of Mohs Surgery, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Women’s Dermatologic Society, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), and the American Academy of Dermatology.
In her free time, Dr. Zarei enjoys running, swimming, and cooking Persian cuisine. She is fluent in Persian (Farsi) and communicates well in Spanish and Turkish.
