About Judith M. Hager, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C
I am Dual certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with Addiction subspecialty, residing in the Des Moines, Iowa area. I offer both virtual and office visits. As a licensed Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner my interest is in providing holistic, comprehensive, and compassionate mental health care for adults and adolescence. While I treat clients across the lifespan, I limit my current practice to clients age 10 and older.
I specialize work with clients struggling with most mental disorders including but not limited to Mood Disorders, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, Addiction, and Sexual Identity issues to name a few. However, my primary area of interest is in working with families struggling with addiction, and supporting those in recovery through smart medication management and ongoing therapy. My belief in the recovery model informs my empathic yet pragmatic approach to behavioral healthcare. While I prescribe medication, I strongly advocate psychotherapy and EMDR either in combination with medications, or alone, in most situations.

My practice is an interdisciplinary holistic psychiatry practice formed as a collaboration between nurse practitioners and psychiatric specialists. Our model blends holistic nursing care with medical science. We believe in a strengths-based and systems-oriented approach to health and wellness.
